Cooperative Bank of Thessaly

The Cooperative Bank of Thessaly was founded in 1994, as a Credit and Development Cooperative, until 1998, when, after fulfilling the conditions set by the institutional framework, it received approval from the Bank of Greece to operate as a Credit Institution under the name “County Cooperative Bank Trikala”. After gathering the required capital and further approval from the Bank of Greece in 2007, it was renamed Cooperative Bank of Thessaly, expanding its network with branches at the District level.

The Bank found the golden ratio, giving the residents of the prefecture financial and savings outlets, while paying its partners with dividends resulting from its rising profitability. Having as its main objectives, the improvement of the financial situation of its partners and its contribution to local development, in a Prefecture in fact, which is facing significant financial problems, the Bank today copes dynamically with the banking competition.

The Bank’s vision is the development of a strong regional and prospectively national Cooperative Bank, which will have at the center of its action the partner – customer who is active in or originates from the Region of Thessaly and will have as an Organization, development dynamics, modern operation, friendly service and high efficiency.

Its mission is to spread the Cooperative Faith, which is born from the local community and always serves its interests. Which utilizes local savings in grants that support local entrepreneurship, while profits are returned as dividends and capital gains to the partners – clients themselves.

Its reference is the active population that lives or comes from the Region of Thessaly with the prospect that all Thessalians will become its active partner clients.
